— In your opinion what is the position of the “Supermarket trading chain “Barvinok” on the Ukrainian market?
— Barvinok is a leading retailer in Western Ukraine.

— The global crisis is widely-known to have an adverse affect on the retail market in Ukraine. What is your prognosis for recovery of this sector? When in your opinion the foreign investors will return to Ukraine and begin to invest?
— We predict retail recovery beginning in 2011. While decisive reforms are key to attracting foreign investors back into the country, a return to economic growth will also help. I would also like to point out that it is possible for specific regions to develop their own reputations vis-a-vis foreign investors.

— How will the investment activity develop in the future?
— It should improve, assuming improvements in the business climate and a continued openness to foreign investors.

— Please tell us why you agreed to participate in the Spring Business Forum 2010?
— I am a longtime supporter of L’viv and am honoured to participate in the forum.

— Do you think it is advisable to have such activities in Ukraine?
— Absolutely – public relations are key to attracting investment.
